Thursday 5 April - Gerrards Cross
Gerrards Cross
After a week of very heavy rain, it was doubtful until the last minute as to whether or not this fixture would go ahead. However the club throughout were most cooperative in not only keeping an eye on the forecast but being positive on the outcome.

On the morning 27 members were greeted with a cloudless blue sky and after a hearty breakfast set off to compete for the S V Suchak memorial trophy. John Foster just scraped home winning with a score of 32 points on countback from Ralph Bartlett. Ralph needless to say was closest to the pin on the 6
th hole and nearest the line on the 10thso congratulations to him on these achievements.

Team winners were Messrs Kilbey, Thompson and Green with 74 points.

Sincere thanks must go to the Management and staff of the Club for making the day not only possible but also for providing excellent service throughout.

A comment from the winner:
"On a personal note I was delighted to be presented with the trophy by Anant and wish to thank all members who have congratulated me personally on this achievement - life in the old dog yet !!"
